I must admit that I did not catch this morning's show and copied this from another source (thecolorawesome.com) because no other place displays this countdown, like it is a big secret to not be shared. NONSENSE, this countdown is vital, at least in my world. Today's countdown further establishes why I love this countdown. Jay-Z and Kid Cudi make the list while introducing consistent great upcomging artists like The XX, Edward Shape and the Magnetic Zeros and Dirty Projectors. While prodominately a indie rock station they will play worthy hip-hop. In fact I feel special for having heard Kid Cudi on this station probably over a year and a half ago now and before he blew up with Day and Nite was still unheard and new. For those of you that have not heard Kid Cudi or took the time to listen to Kid Cudi, DO IT NOW! Super fresh, a new vibe for hip-hop and better than Drake. This is not good for the Dodgers. We just skipped Billingsley's start for his hamstring, now we have a triple-A knuckleballer starting on monday against the Cardinals. Our rotation is weakening and so is their lead on the NL West. I am officially nervous about the rest of the season after being so confident for so much of it. Please Ned, "SOR", save our rotation. Add someone! We can not piece together a rotation for the last two months and into the playoffs.

I watched VH1's Woodstock: Then and Now last night. Highly recommend, not for its artistic relevance but simply to understand what a moment Woodstock was. I learned that the reason we have Lollapoolza , Voodoo Festival, Sasquatch, and all other music festivals is because of Woodstock. No festival will ever be Woodstock again which is why that was such a unique moment in our country's history but each festival thereafter I'm positive has some remnants of Woodstock. Attendees' talked about the community feeling they had being there and I can attest to that feeling when you are at a festival. Granted everyone is not peace, love and groovyness like Woodstock but none the less you find everyone is friendly, there for a great time and shares things with you from time to time. I was turned off by the idea of festival for a long time but have since completed a major 180. I highly recommend attending one whether it be Burning Man or New Orleans Jazz Festival. I could go on and on but the points have been made: Watch Woodstock: Now and Then and look into attending your first music festival sometime in the next year. I am hoping to make Lollapoolza next year and that the line-up is as good if not better as it was this year.

My favorite radio station's Saturday morning list show. These songs are what the DJs consider the most downloaded and web reviewed indie tracks. This radio station helps me push the boundaries of the superficial and quick judgement my ears can often have about a new song and music. It has been my source of new music for about 18 months now. One of my favorite things to think about is the different musical eras I have had over the years, whether being defined by genre, artist or my source that is providing me the music. Maybe I will touch on those in the future. I will bold my "must listen to" tracks, defined simply by which I like. Hear they are and the list. (pun intended)

This is the word I had to type in to create my account: pouncetspo. Sounds like someone who actually pounces for an occupation or maybe panhandles by doing pouncing. Where do they gets those words.

We'll see what I do with my blogspot if anything at all. I can tell you one thing though, it will will probably include my fantacism for music, the Los Angeles Dodgers, music, fantasy sports, music, important pointless random things that you must know in order to get through the day and the rest of your life, probably MUSIC recommendations because of my fickle ear and maybe a favorite saying or qoute.
